Acting on a tip-off, Vigilance conducted a raid and arrested Pradhan while accepting a bribe amount of Rs 19,200 from a complainant for facilitating release of bill towards construction of cultural centre in khanguria GP under Bolagarh block

Khordha, July 6: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday apprehended a JE of Bolagarh block in Odisha’s Khordha district for demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant.

The accused has been identified as Nrusingha Nath Pradhan, Grampanchayat Technical Assistant (JE) of Bolagarh Block in Khordha district.

Acting on a tip-off, Vigilance conducted a raid and arrested Pradhan while accepting a bribe amount of Rs 19,200 from a complainant for facilitating release of bill towards construction of cultural centre in khanguria GP under Bolagarh block.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at four locations of Pradhan from DA angle.

During search at his govt. quarter, Cash Rs.2, 16, 900 has been unearthed and seized. Further searches are going on.
